Secrets of the World by The Body Shop

As a beautylover it is challenging at times to stay loyal to one brand. But there is one brand in particular I always come back to. The Body Shop always inspires me and by purchasing the products I really feel like I can make a small difference in this world. Their products are always made with the best ingredients, often handpicked and selected with care for the people and the planet. For their new collection Secrets of The World, The Body Shop literally travelled the world looking for the best kept beauty secrets and magical ingredients. They all bottled it up in beautiful, new luxurious packaging. Let me take you on a journey!

So what’s the deal exactly? There are three new exciting ranges in this collection: Relaxing Rituals, Blissful Rituals & Revitalising Rituals.

My first impression? I was greatly excited for the new packaging. It is so luxurious and yes, it definitely creates a Spa feeling in your bathroom. The range includes an invigorating Dead Sea Salt Scrub to exfoliate skin naturally, Japanese Camellia Cream to provide skin with a velvety smooth treat, Polynesian Monoi Radiance Oil to offer both body and hair with much needed moisture, Moroccan Rhassoul Body Clay to firm and nourish, plus Hawaiian Kukui Cream to nurture skin and make it smell amazing. The Body Shop travelled to Japan, Hawaii and Marocco to harvest the finest ingredients for their great benefits.

I’m going to be honest: all the products are amazing and definitely worth trying, but my ultimate favourite is the Polynesian Monoi Radiance Oil. This oil can be used for skin, but also for your hair! I tried and tested this product for my hair for about 3 weeks now, and I’m impressed by how smooth and nurtured my hair feels. You need very very very little, that goes a long way. You can use it two ways: like a pre hair mask (leave it in before washing) or use for those dry ends. Either way, I love this product so much I think about stocking this up for miles.

Also the Japanese Camelia Cream feels like velvet on my skin. It’s a creamy almost buttery texture.  It’s a lightweight formula, that is easily and fast absorbed by my skin. You don’t need much in order to moisturise your skin. That’s nice, cause I like products that last long and are not finished in a short amount of time.

The fragrance of this range I would describe as warm but sweet. Kind of like vanilla almost.
